Celery Juice

What would happen if you consumed celery juice for seven days?

There are four things in celery juice that are quite powerful, but most people do not talk about.  I find that so odd, considering what amazing properties they have.  Let’s have a look at these four things:

First of all, celery juice is 95% water.  The general nutrients in celery juice are not that high. It does have small amounts of folate (Vitamin B9), and postassium, but that’s only about 8-9%.  It’s often said that celery juice is high in sodium but 1 glass only has about 1/8th of what you need every single day.

But what is really amazing about celery juice, is that there are four natural chemicals called phytonutrients that no one really speaks about.  There is actually a book that states that celery juice is the most powerful medicine of our time.  Well, let’s have a look at that theory and ask ourselves if this could possibly be true.

Asside from the fact that the medical medium talks about the benefit of the sodium cluster crystals, I have found a lot more data on the following four phytonutrients that I want to share with you.

1.  KAEMPFEROL:
Kaempferol has anti-viral properties, anti-bacterial properties, anti-fungal properties, as well as being a general anti-inflammatory, so that in itself is a great benefit.

2.  3-N-BUTYLPHTHALIDE:
3-N-Butylphthalide is excellent for repairing after a stroke, reconstructing micro-circulation, it has certain neurological regenerative properties, and is researched for its potential in treating conditions like stroke and Alzheimer’s disease.  It is also an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory.  Also, it has anti-thrombosis properties, so it helps to prevent blood clotting.

3.  APIGENIN:
The third compound is called Apigenin. Apigenin is one of the most researched and studied polyphenols. It’s found in parsley, basil, oregano, coriander, thyme, oranges and it’s definitely in celery juice. Normally in nature, a plant uses Apigenin to protect itself against UV radiation from the sun as well as acting as an insecticide, so it’s a defense mechanism as well. But when we consume it in small amounts, it creates an Apigenic effect that can actually benefit us. Apigenin is also an amazing muscle relaxer.  This is why we feel calm and relaxed after we have consumed celery juice. If you have high blood pressure, it is great for lowering the blood pressure, you can also sleep better, and, amazingly, it has anti-diabetic properties too. It’s even been used to help people with amnesia, which is very interesting – I would definitely like to dive deeper into that!

4.  COUMARIC ACID:
Coumaric acid has great antioxidant properties – this contributes to the prevention of chronic diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes.  It is also anti-ulcer, anti-clotting, and it supports your blood sugar. It can also help with inflammation associated with arthritis.

So, is celery juice the most powerful medicine of our time?  I don’t know, but it’s pretty amazing and there is a good reason (or should I say, 4 good reasons) why people drink it!  Give it a try for 7 days and see for yourself..

Not a fan of celery juice?  Gagging at the idea?  You can get Kaempferol and Apigenin in supplement form.  While 3-N-Butylphthalide and coumaric acid are not typically found as a standalone dietary supplement, they are often present in antioxidant complexes and herbal supplements aimed at enhancing overall health or targeting specific conditions like inflammation. A great choice is this MultiMineral Supplement.
